Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77812 was sufficient for detection of TCF7L2 in 15 µg of rat kidney cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects 68 kDa; band at approximately 55 kDa represents another isoform, and band at approximately 75 kDa corresponds to post-translational modification.
Target Information
TCF7L2 (also known as TCF4) is a high mobility group (HMG) box-containing transcription factor involved in the Wnt signaling pathway.
It regulates pro-glucagon gene expression, affecting glucose homeostasis and GLP-1 production. Genetic variants of TCF7L2 are associated with type 2 diabetes and play roles in beta-cell survival and function.
Multiple splicing isoforms are differentially expressed during cancer progression, and TCF7L2 is essential for maintaining small intestinal crypt stem cells.
