Product Specific Information

The II/41 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mu heavy chain of mouse IgM and does not cross-react with other mouse immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B-cell development and on the surface of mature B cells. Fluorochrome-conjugated II/41 can be used as a detection secondary antibody for mouse IgM.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested:

• IHC and ICC: ≤10 µg/mL
• Flow cytometry: ≤0.25 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
eFluor™ 660 replaces Alexa Fluor™ 647, excited by the red laser (633 nm) and emitting at 668 nm.
Ensure the instrument supports detection of this fluorochrome.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin produced by B cells during the early immune response. It is a pentamer composed of five heavy and five light chains, playing a key role in complement activation and antigen agglutination. It is widely used in research and diagnostics such as ELISA, Western blotting, and IHC.
