• In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse MBL-1 and recombinant human MBL is observed.

Target Information

MBL2 is a calcium-dependent lectin involved in innate immune defense. It binds mannose, fucose, and N-acetylglucosamine on various microorganisms and activates the lectin complement pathway.
It also binds to late apoptotic and necrotic cells, facilitating their uptake by macrophages, but not to early apoptotic cells. MBL2 may also bind DNA.
