Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 2H7CD155 recognizes CD155 (poliovirus receptor), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Four isoforms exist, with alpha and delta forms expressed on monocytes, prostate cancer cells, and neurectodermal or monocytic tumor cell lines. CD155 is also present during mid-gastrulation in embryonic development. It is involved in cell adhesion via interaction with vitronectin and plays a role in NK cell-mediated tumor cell killing. CD226 and CD96 are known ligands for CD155. Blocking of CD155 is under investigation for therapeutic prevention of poliovirus variants.

Super Bright 436 can be excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Use a 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent. Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

The CD155 gene encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Its extracellular domain mediates cell attachment to vitronectin, and the intracellular domain interacts with dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1. The gene is primate-specific and acts as a cellular receptor for poliovirus during the first step of viral replication. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist.
