NDA 702 Nitrogen Analyzer Working Principle

The Dumas method involves sample combustion in the VELP combustion furnace (>1000°C) to obtain elemental compounds.
Water separation occurs in two steps: the physical DriStep™ trap (WT1) and a chemical trap (WT2) for complete water removal.
Between traps, gases pass through the reduction furnace (RF), converting NOx compounds to N₂.
CO₂ is removed by self-regenerating VELP CO₂ adsorbers.
Elemental nitrogen is detected by LoGas™ TCD, and DUMASoft™ calculates Nitrogen and Protein content.
