This antibody detects endogenous levels of alpha 1 Catenin only when phosphorylated at Ser641.
Target Information
Alpha 1 Catenin associates with the cytoplasmic domain of various cadherins, forming complexes linked to the actin filament network, which are essential for cadherin-mediated cell adhesion. It can interact with both E- and N-cadherins. The homodimeric form may regulate actin filament assembly and inhibit actin branching by competing with the Arp2/3 complex for actin binding, playing a crucial role in cell differentiation.
