This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The NCBP2 gene encodes a component of the nuclear cap-binding protein complex (CBC), which binds to the monomethylated 5′ cap of nascent pre-mRNA in the nucleoplasm. This protein contains an RNP domain typical of RNA-binding proteins and exhibits cap-binding activity. The CBC facilitates pre-mRNA splicing, 3′-end processing, RNA nuclear export, and nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
