Product Specific Information

The GD2.F4 antibody reacts with human Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1).
TLR1 is expressed at low levels on peripheral blood monocytes and even lower on dendritic cells, with high donor variability. Testing by eBioscience confirmed low-level expression of TLR1 on PBMCs (<1/4 log shift).

TLR1 may cooperate with TLR2 in response to certain antagonists. Despite low surface expression, TLRs are efficient signal transducers in monocytes and dendritic cells.
At least ten human Toll family members have been identified, characterized by leucine-rich repeats and a cytoplasmic IL-1 receptor-like domain. TLR2 and TLR4 act as pattern recognition receptors involved in innate immunity and inflammation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use 5 µL (1 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Suitable cell count: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

TLR1 (Toll-like receptor 1) is part of the TLR family, crucial for pathogen recognition and innate immune activation.
TLRs recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and trigger cytokine production for immune responses.
They are conserved across species and share structural features such as leucine-rich repeats and an IL-1 receptor motif.

In mice, TLR1 interacts with TLR2, enhancing NF-κB activation in response to lipopeptides.
TLR1 recognizes specific lipid configurations of mycobacterial lipoproteins and tri-acylated lipopeptides.
Alternative transcripts may result from alternative polyadenylation or splicing.
