Target Information
IDO1은 heme을 포함하는 세포 내 효소로, tryptophan, serotonin, melatonin 등의 인돌 고리를 산화적으로 절단하여 생리활성 대사물인 kynurenine을 생성합니다.
IDO1은 다양한 인체 조직뿐 아니라 macrophage 및 dendritic cell(DC)에서도 널리 발현됩니다.
염증 시 interferon(IFN)은 IDO1 유도를 촉진하며, tryptophan 분해를 통해 바이러스, 세균, 기생충의 성장을 억제합니다.
또한, IDO1은 감염, 임신, 자가면역, 이식, 종양 등 다양한 생리적 및 병리적 상황에서 면역조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
