Target Information
Autophagy는 세포 단백질을 오토파고좀-리소좀 경로를 통해 분해하는 과정으로, 정상적인 성장 조절에 필수적이며 종양 세포에서 결함이 발생할 수 있습니다. IRGM과 ATG16L1 유전자는 오토파지 경로에 중요한 역할을 하는 단백질을 암호화하며, Crohn’s disease와 유의하게 연관되어 있습니다.
Mouse IRGM은 약 48 kDa 크기의 gamma-interferon 유도 GTP 결합 단백질 계열에 속하며, 오토파지를 유도하고 Mycobacterium tuberculosis 제거에 관여합니다. Human IRGM 역시 오토파지 과정에 참여하며, 세포 내 병원체의 제어 및 세포 내 세균 부하 감소에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
