Product Specific Information

  • Intact IgG appears as a ~150 kDa band under non-reducing conditions, and upon reduction generates ~25 kDa light chain and ~50 kDa heavy chain bands.
  • Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits.
  • Advantages include:
    • Improved specificity and sensitivity
    • Lot-to-lot consistency
    • Animal origin-free formulation
    • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

TARC ligand (CCL17) is a member of the CC chemokine family. It is a small cytokine located on the q arm of chromosome 16 in humans, along with other chemokines.
TARC specifically binds to T-cells and interacts with chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8.
It plays a key role in T-cell development in the thymus and in trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
