Target Information
PAK (p21-Activated Protein Kinases)는 여러 isoform을 가지며, alpha-PAK (PAK-1)과 beta-PAK (PAK-3)는 주로 뇌에 특이적으로 발현되고, gamma-PAK (PAK-2)는 전반적으로 발현됩니다 (Jakobi et al., 2003).
PAK-3 유전자의 돌연변이는 X-연관 정신지체와 관련이 있으며, PAK-3는 해마에서 시냅스 형성과 가소성의 주요 조절자로 알려져 있습니다 (Boda et al., 2004).
또한 PAK-3는 세포 형태, 이동성 및 세포사 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다 (Jakobi et al., 2003; Walter et al., 1998).
Thr402의 자가 인산화는 PAK 활성화에 필수적입니다 (Jakobi et al., 2000).
