Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Target Information
Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
Each human cytokeratin is numbered 1 to 20, and their expression patterns are characteristic of epithelium type and maturation stage.
Cytokeratin subtype expression is widely used to distinguish epithelial malignancies and serves as a valuable marker in cancer research and tumor diagnosis.
Cytokeratin antibodies are useful for differential tumor diagnosis, cytopathology, and flow cytometric assays.
