Product Specific Information

49-1008, H3K9me3 antibody, has been shown to recognize plant species such as Arabidopsis and Silena latifolia.

Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. H3, along with four core histone proteins, binds to DNA forming the nucleosome structure.
Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histones can alter chromatin structure or mediate transcription factor binding.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo methylation, acetylation, or phosphorylation, influencing various cellular processes.
