Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the enabled/vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein family. Members of this family are involved in actin-based motility. The protein regulates actin filament assembly and modulates cell adhesion and motility. Alternate splice variants have been correlated with tumor invasiveness in certain tissues and may serve as prognostic markers. A pseudogene is found on chromosome 3.
