- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Orangutan (100%); Gibbon (92%); Monkey, Marmoset, Opossum, Turkey (83%) - For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
The SLC7A2 gene encodes a cationic amino acid transporter, a member of the APC (amino acid-polyamine-organocation) family.
This membrane protein mediates the cellular uptake of arginine, lysine, and ornithine.
Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
