Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform another round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
N-Acylphosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE)-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) is a membrane-bound enzyme that releases the endocannabinoid anandamide and other bioactive N-acylethanolamines from their corresponding NAPEs in animal tissues.
NAPE-PLD is expressed by specific populations of neurons in the brain and targeted to axonal processes. Studies suggest that NAEs generated by NAPE-PLD in axons act as synaptic signaling molecules regulating postsynaptic neuronal activity.
Additionally, NAPE-PLD catalyzes the hydrolysis of NAPE to generate OEA (oleoylethanolamide), a natural lipid amide that suppresses food intake by prolonging feeding intervals in rodents.
