Product Specific Information
The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b (integrin alphaM, 165–170 kDa). CD11b forms a non-covalent complex with CD18 to generate Mac-1 (αMβ2 integrin), binding to CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen.
Mac-1 is expressed on macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and mouse B-1 cells. M1/70 cross-reacts with human CD11b, enabling detection on human monocytes, granulocytes, and NK cell subsets.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that associates with CD18 to form Mac-1 (CR3).
Expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
Functions as a receptor for ICAMs, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, mediating cell adhesion and immune interactions.
CD11b expression varies by cell type and tissue, increasing during monocyte maturation and serving as a microglial marker.
Associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility disorders.
