Target Information
Histones는 진핵세포 염색체 섬유의 뉴클레오솜 구조를 형성하는 기본 핵 단백질입니다. H2A, H2B, H3, H4의 각 두 분자가 옥타머를 형성하고, 약 146 bp의 DNA가 이를 감싸 뉴클레오솜 단위를 구성합니다. Linker histone H1은 뉴클레오솜 사이의 DNA를 결합하여 염색질을 더 높은 차원의 구조로 압축합니다.
이 유전자는 인트론이 없으며 histone H4 family 구성원 중 하나를 암호화합니다. 전사체는 polyA tail 대신 팔린드롬 종료 요소를 포함하며, 염색체 6의 대형 histone 유전자 클러스터 내에 위치합니다.
