Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts to the methoxy group of Polyethylene glycol (PEG) and is specific for methoxypoly(ethylene glycol).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
PEG recruits the serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1 to dephosphorylate the translation initiation factor eIF-2A/EIF2S1, reversing the protein synthesis shut-off initiated by stress-inducible kinases and aiding cellular recovery from stress.
It also down-regulates the TGF-beta signaling pathway by promoting dephosphorylation of TGFB1 by PP1 and may promote apoptosis by inducing TP53 phosphorylation on Ser-15.
