This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Interleukin 3 (IL-3), also known as Mast Cell Growth Factor (MCGF), Multi-Colony Stimulating Factor (multi-CSF), or Eosinophil-CSF (E-CSF), is produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and eosinophils.

IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates colony formation of erythroid, megakaryocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil, mast cell, and monocytic lineages. Many of these functions are enhanced or co-stimulated with other cytokines.

Human and mouse IL-3 share only 29% amino acid sequence identity, and IL-3 bioactivity is highly species-specific (e.g., human IL-3 has no activity on mouse cells).

IL-3 supports proliferation of a broad range of hematopoietic cell types and is involved in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It also exhibits neurotrophic activity and may be associated with neurologic disorders.
