Target Information
SERPINC1 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 혈장 프로테아제 억제제이며 serpin 초과가족에 속합니다.
이 단백질은 thrombin 및 기타 활성화된 serine protease를 억제하여 혈액 응고 연쇄 반응을 조절합니다.
단백질은 두 개의 기능적 도메인을 포함합니다:
- N-말단의 heparin 결합 도메인
- C-말단의 반응성 부위 도메인
Heparin 존재 시 억제 활성이 증가합니다.
이 유전자에는 120개 이상의 변이가 보고되었으며, 일부는 antithrombin-III 결핍을 유발합니다.
