EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor)는 다양한 성장 인자에 반응하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 과발현은 여러 종류의 암과 관련이 있습니다. EGFR은 인간의 7번 염색체에 위치한 EGFR 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, HER/ERbB 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. EGF 및 TGF-α와 같은 리간드가 결합하면 EGFR은 이합체화되어 세포질 도메인의 티로신 잔기들이 자가 인산화됩니다. 이러한 신호전달 경로는 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 난소 등 다양한 암에서 EGFR의 과발현과 관련이 있습니다.
