Target Information
TBX1은 T-box DNA 결합 도메인을 공유하는 유전적 보존된 전사인자 패밀리의 구성원입니다. T-box 유전자는 발생 과정 조절에 관여하는 전사인자를 암호화합니다. 본 유전자 산물은 mouse ortholog와 98%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 가지며, DiGeorge syndrome(DGS)/velocardiofacial syndrome(VCFS)과 관련된 22q11.2 염색체 결실 영역에 위치합니다. Mouse 모델 연구에서 TBX1은 DGS/VCFS의 분자적 병인에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 제시되었으며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
