Target Information
Interleukin-31 (IL-31)은 최근 발견된 T세포 유래 사이토카인으로, IL-6 계열 사이토카인과 밀접한 관련이 있습니다. 주로 T helper type 2 세포에서 생산되며, IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor로 구성된 이합체 수용체 복합체의 리간드 유도성 올리고머화를 통해 활성을 나타냅니다. IL-31 결합 시 JAK/STAT 및 AKT 신호 전달 경로가 활성화됩니다. IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor의 RNA는 활성화된 단핵구에서 유도되며, 상피세포에서는 지속적으로 발현됩니다. 트랜스제닉 마우스에서 IL-31이 과발현되면 가려움증, 탈모, 피부 병변이 발생하며, 인간에서는 아토피 피부염과 관련이 있습니다. 따라서 IL-31은 항소양제 개발의 새로운 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
