For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression is observed in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 plays a role in initiating or enhancing early T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck. It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified for this gene (RefSeq, July 2017).
