Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed in T helper cells but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and other immune cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression is observed in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 plays a role in initiating or enhancing T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck.
It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
