Product Specific Information

Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with the primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast or colon carcinoma.

Target Information

MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation has been linked to many types of human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET is involved in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, kidney formation) and in adult processes such as wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling.
Aberrant MET signaling is associated with cancers including gastric, renal, and breast, making it a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostic research.
