Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, is part of the Rel family and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF alpha binding, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and activation of NF-kB. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcription of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
