Target Information
Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity and represented by at least 20 polypeptides in human epithelial tissues. Cytokeratins have molecular weights of 40–68 kDa and isoelectric points of 4.9–7.8. Expression patterns vary by epithelial type and differentiation stage, making them valuable markers for distinguishing epithelial malignancies. Cytokeratin antibodies are useful in differential tumor diagnosis, cytopathology, and flow cytometry. Their expression correlates with cell type, differentiation, growth conditions, and disease state, supporting cancer research and tumor diagnostics.
