PA1027AA647 detects cyclophilin B (CyPB) in mouse, rat, canine, and human tissues.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C(194)–E(208) of human CyPB, a sequence highly conserved across species.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-058) is available for neutralization and control experiments.

Target Information

Immunophilins are soluble cytosolic receptors binding immunosuppressants such as cyclosporin A (CsA) or FK506.

• FK506-binding proteins are termed FKBP, and CsA-binding proteins are cyclophilins (CyP).
• Both CyP:CsA and FKBP:FK506 complexes inhibit calcineurin, a Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent phosphatase involved in T-cell activation.
• Immunophilins act as peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerases (PPIase), accelerating folding of proline-containing proteins.
  Their enzymatic activity is inhibited by the respective immunosuppressant compounds.
