Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C before opening. Do not freeze.
- Stable at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum, anti-Alkaline Phosphatase, and purified/partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
- Cross-reactivity with GST from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is used in the GST gene fusion system to purify fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione. GST-fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions and are widely introduced into expression vectors.
