Product Specific Information
This antibody is specific for the ~88 kDa Dopamine Transporter (DAT) protein in Western blots of SDS-solubilized human and mouse striatal samples, and in IHC applications using formaldehyde-fixed human and monkey (Macaque) brain sections.
Target Information
The Dopamine Transporter (DAT) is responsible for the reuptake of dopamine after its release. DAT antibodies, along with antibodies for other catecholamine biosynthesis markers, are widely used for identifying dopaminergic and noradrenergic neurons in research related to depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, and drug abuse.
