Target Information
ZO-3는 막 관련 guanylate kinase (MAGUK) 계열의 단백질로, tight junction에 관련된 단백질입니다. Tight junction은 상피 및 내피 세포의 세포막 사이 경계를 형성하는 단백질 복합체로 구성됩니다.
ZO-3는 구조적 및 신호 전달 역할을 모두 수행하며, PDZ, SH3, GuK 도메인을 포함합니다. ZO-1은 ZO-2 또는 ZO-3와 복합체를 형성할 수 있으며, claudin, occludin, F-actin과 결합하여 actin 세포골격과 tight junction을 연결합니다.
ZO-1 발현은 여러 유방암 세포주에서 감소하며, ZO-2와 ZO-3는 상피성 tight junction 내에서 널리 발현됩니다. ZO-1은 심근세포 접합부에서도 발현되지만, ZO-2는 비상피 조직에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
