Target Information
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs)는 세포 내 핵 호르몬 수용체 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 특정 리간드 결합 후 DNA 서열에 결합하여 유전자 전사를 조절합니다.
PPAR는 clofibric acid, nafenopin, WY-14,643 및 일부 지방산과 같은 peroxisome proliferators에 의해 활성화되며, acyl-CoA oxidase 및 CYP450 A6 유전자 발현을 유도합니다.
또한 PPAR는 retinoid X receptor (RXR) alpha와 이합체를 형성하여 기능합니다.
