Product Specific Information
The 145-2C11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. The epsilon chain, together with gamma and delta subunits, is essential for TCR assembly and surface expression. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and mature T cells. Binding of 145-2C11 to TCR can induce activation, proliferation, or apoptosis depending on conditions. Commonly used as a phenotypic marker for mouse T cells.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best results.
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 695 nm; Laser: Blue.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD3 complex transduces antigen-recognition signals in T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. It includes CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, encoded on chromosome 11. These subunits have long cytoplasmic tails that associate with signaling molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes, but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
