Target Information
Heme oxygenase (HO)는 헴을 산화시켜 항산화 분자인 빌리버딘과 일산화탄소를 생성하는 미소체 효소입니다. HO에는 유도형 HO-1과 항상 발현되는 HO-2 두 가지 동형효소가 존재합니다. HO-1은 산화 스트레스, 염증 인자, TGF-β, 열충격 등 다양한 자극에 의해 유도되며, 세포의 산화 스트레스 방어 기작으로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. HO 발현 증가 시 항산화 물질인 빌리루빈 생성이 증가할 수 있습니다.
