Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Superior specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Beta tubulins are core components of microtubules, forming heterodimers with alpha tubulin. Beta-III tubulin is primarily expressed in neurons and may play roles in neurogenesis, axon guidance, and maintenance.
Mutations in the beta tubulin gene can cause congenital fibrosis of extraocular muscles type 3. Beta-III tubulin is also found in Sertoli cells and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
Tubulin phosphorylation on Ser-172 by CDK1 during cell cycle progression inhibits incorporation into microtubules.
Microtubules are essential for chromosome segregation, intracellular transport, ciliary and flagellar motion, and cytoskeletal structure. Beta-tubulin is commonly used as a loading control in protein detection assays such as Western blotting.
