Product Specific Information
Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in maintaining the adult nervous system and in neuronal development during embryogenesis. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide is identical in all mammals examined, including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
