Product Specific Information
Reconstitute in 20 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20 °C for higher stability, and at 4 °C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
The protein encoded by the NTF3 gene belongs to the neurotrophin family, which regulates survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). NTF3 may play a role in maintaining the adult nervous system and in neuronal development during embryogenesis. NTF3-deficient mice exhibit severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide sequence is identical across multiple mammalian species including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
