This antibody recognizes monkey IgA and does not cross-react with IgG or IgM. It has been shown to detect secreted IgA in cat saliva and rhesus monkey jejunal washes.

Target Information

Anti-Monkey secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for non-human primate immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of specific targets. Secondary antibodies provide versatility and enhanced sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody. Typically, these antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
