Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes monkey IgA and does not cross-react with IgG or IgM. It has been shown to detect secreted IgA in cat saliva and rhesus monkey jejunal washes.

Target Information

Anti-Monkey secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for non-human primate (e.g., monkey) immunoglobulins. They are useful in the detection, sorting, or purification of the specified target.

Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility, enabling use with multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence). They also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.

Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to produce highly specific reagents.
