The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Defensins are microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides produced by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family share high sequence similarity. The beta-Defensin 1 gene encodes an antimicrobial peptide that contributes to epithelial surface resistance against microbial colonization. It is located near defensin alpha 1 and has been associated with the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis.
