Target Information
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) transduces extracellular matrix signals through integrins, influencing intracellular and extracellular functions. ILK interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin and encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase with four ankyrin-like repeats. It acts as a proximal receptor kinase regulating integrin-mediated signal transduction. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
