Target Information
The CSF2RA gene encodes the alpha subunit of the heterodimeric receptor for colony stimulating factor 2 (GM-CSF), a cytokine regulating granulocyte and macrophage production and function.
This gene resides in the pseudoautosomal region (PAR) of the X and Y chromosomes. Multiple transcript variants exist, producing both membrane-bound and soluble isoforms.
