Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c × C57BL/6 F1 mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-4. Anti-Human NT-4-specific antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Target Information
This gene belongs to the neurotrophic factor family (neurotrophins) that regulate survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. Expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. Knock-outs of other neurotrophins such as nerve growth factor, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and neurotrophin 3 are lethal during early postnatal development, whereas NTF5-deficient mice exhibit minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood.
