Anti-Human BMP-7-specific antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Target Information
Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by their ability to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo at extra-skeletal sites.
BMP7, expressed early in embryogenesis, is proposed to play a role in early development. Due to its close relation to BMP5 and BMP6, BMP7 is speculated to have possible bone inductive activity.
