This antibody is predicted to react with Rat and Cat.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates.

Target Information
Ubiquitin-like protein ISG15 plays a key role in the innate immune response to viral infection, either via conjugation to target proteins (ISGylation) or as a free protein.
It is secreted from monocytes in response to type I interferons and promotes NK-cell proliferation and non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity.
ISG15 synthesis is induced by IFN-α, IFN-β, or IFN-ω, and by overexpression of interferon regulatory factors or influenza B virus.
It functions intracellularly as a ubiquitin homolog, and mutations can cause Immunodeficiency 38 (IMD38) with basal ganglia calcification.
