Target Information
RAB5 proteins are small GTPases that regulate intracellular membrane trafficking, including vesicle formation and fusion with membranes.
RAB5A plays a key role in the fusion of plasma membranes and early endosomes, regulation of filopodia extension, and exosomal release of SDCBP, CD63, PDCD6IP, and syndecan.
It also regulates the maturation of apoptotic cell-containing phagosomes, likely downstream of DYN2 and PIK3C3.
