Target Information

The KIF25 protein is part of the kinesin-like family, which functions as microtubule-dependent molecular motors involved in organelle transport and chromosome movement during cell division.
The specific function of KIF25 has not been fully determined. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described, while other variants lacking exon 2 and the initiation codon have also been found.
